Mark Beesley’s intricate pen drawing of RAF Bawdsey was specially commissioned by Bawdsey Radar Trust. It shows a view of the manor as it might have looked in 1937 when RAF Bawdsey was inaugurated. There’s a hint of what was to come with the two spitfires in the distance but at that time of course the ground-breaking development of radar which was taking place at Bawdsey was top secret work.
An exclusive card with a unique story behind the picture.
